How it Works

A catheter delivers a small amount of medical glue inside the vein, which closes the vein instantly. Blood is rerouted to healthy veins.

How We Do It

  1. Ultrasound-guided catheter insertion.
  2. Small amounts of glue are delivered along the vein.
  3. Gentle compression ensures sealing.

Side Effects

Mild discomfort or bruising at catheter site. Rare allergic reaction to adhesive.

Time to Full Effect

Vein closes immediately; cosmetic and comfort improvement in 1–4 weeks.

Does it involve heat or anesthesia?

No — it’s done without thermal energy or tumescent anesthesia.

How soon can I return to normal activity?

Immediately — there’s virtually no downtime.

Is the glue safe?

Yes — it’s FDA-approved and well tolerated by most.

Will the glue stay in my body?

It remains in the closed vein, which is harmless and absorbed over time

Will I need compression stockings?

Most patients don’t need them after VenaSeal.
